The road to Care Connect began long before the boardroom.

For Hannah Smith, the journey to founding Care Connect began long before she stepped into a boardroom. It started with a six year chapter of her life as a refugee from Liberia, a period defined by uncertainty, resilience, and the profound realization that a community is only as strong as the support it offers its most vulnerable members.

During those years, Hannah learned firsthand that survival is rarely a solo endeavor. She experienced the challenges of navigating a new environment, the struggle to secure basic needs, and the quiet, persistent barriers that can keep families from reaching their full potential. She saw how the simple lack of a ride to a job interview, or the absence of a supportive network, could derail a parent's dreams and a child's future.

These experiences became the heartbeat of Care Connect. Hannah founded the organization with a clear, unwavering vision: to bridge the gap between adversity and opportunity. She understood that for single parent families, especially those navigating the complexities of immigrant life or low income circumstances, stability is built on access.

Through Wheels to Success, Hannah ensures that transportation is no longer a barrier to education, health, or personal growth. By providing reliable rides to schools, tutoring, and medical appointments, Care Connect gives children the freedom to explore their talents, and parents the peace of mind to focus on their family's stability.

Complementing this, the Family Empowerment & Community Connections program serves as a cornerstone for growth. Hannah envisioned a space where parents could move beyond survival and into empowerment. By offering workshops on financial literacy, career development, and wellness, alongside vital resource referrals, she has created a community where parents don't just get by, they thrive.

My path to founding Care Connect began long before I stepped into a boardroom, it began on a journey of survival and discovery. We are dedicated to removing the obstacles that keep single parents and their children from reaching their full potential. Through Wheels to Success, we provide the dependable transportation needed to get children to school, medical appointments, and extracurricular activities, ensuring that their growth isn't limited by their zip code or their family's means.

But we know that transportation is only one piece of the puzzle. Through our Family Empowerment & Community Connections program, we strive to build a foundation of strength. By offering financial literacy, job readiness, and a network of peer support, we are creating a space where single parents can find the resources and the community they need to truly thrive.
